settlers of catan editions

When I read the settlers Mayfair Catan board game on the Penny Arcade blog, it seemed like it, so I decided to test one day, and now that finally bought (as in the cities and the knights and the expansions of seafarers) and play with a friend.

It seems a bit simple at first (a commission of 20 or network seem perplexed with the wooden game pieces) and the rules, but once you master it, gives a forest of wood gives a field of grain, etc.). You put the disks numbered in each plot, representing the numbers on a roll 2D6 (2-12, except 7).

When this number increases, a player with an agreement on the edge of the plot can also buy a card from the deck of development that is geared toward one type of card, unfortunately (the horse), but some cards you can make things as something to buy cheap, the plundering of resources from other players and so on.

There's this idea where a thief is a thief in a desert land, which is extracted 7, is driven by the player who rolled the 7. The thief cleaned maps anyone with more than 7 resource (a half bridge gap), then the player who rolled the 7 comes to take a card of a player next to the place where the thief is now. In addition, resources can be extracted from the plot, the thief is running. This creates an interesting dynamic in the game and throws a curve in Nice in game

The final destination is to get 10 victory points you can get by accepting settlements (1 VP), cities (2 VP), and premiums for the cover of developing or having the largest army (the Knight over 3 cards) or the longest road in the attached map.

You are able to make the game a little better (I think) to get the Catania: Cities and Knights Expansion – 4th Edition New! Expansion change the game play a bit more.

Even if the wooden pieces are a bit retro, are always well done, the cards are so solid and not fragile, and the plateau is thick cardboard game, which is very good in terms of box contents.
